From our base in Queenstown, flights immediately lift you in to the scenery of Lake Wakatipu for views of the more than 7500' Remarkables Range, Queenstown, Lake Hayes, Arrowtown areas and Coronet Peak ski field.

Most visitors to the area are keen to see Milford Sound and that aircraft journey is one of the most stunning short flights that can be undertaken anywhere.

Other options take in more of the World Heritage Fiordland National Park including Doubtful Sound, or world famous Mt Cook climbing 12,315' up above the coastline.

For those wanting a different experience, landings on an ocean beach or remote airstrip are available. Experiences can be tailored to your requirements. Bring your camera, and plenty of film for some amazing photography.

All seats are window seats offering unrestricted photography and sightseeing. Intercom equipment provides for informative commentaries.

Air Wakatipu provides an on-demand VFR charter service, weather permitting, to airfield destinations throughout New Zealand.

Aircraft from 3 passenger seats through to 5 passenger seats are available. All seats are window seats.

We also offer scenic flights. Within 40 minutes one can be landed at Milford Sound to partake in a relaxing half hour walk to a 500' waterfall or choose a cruise down the glacially carved fiord.
